Our Motivation
We appreciate that men and women of honour and impeccable integrity from different backgrounds: Caucasians, Africans, Asians, Arabs, etc., have made uncommon and necessary sacrifice in the fight against racism. Some of them paid the ultimate price with their lives. World bodies including the United Nations (UN) have organized enough talk shows on this subject but have achieved little or nothing so far. All efforts made to stop racism either by individuals or groups have yielded insignificant results. This is because they have been fighting the offshoots of racism at play, work, study, and even on pews.
ABWL strongly believes that the philosophy of the black and white label is the root and foundation of racism globally. Time is now ripe to raise a non-violent army to resist and dismantle the obnoxious white and black label entirely. Once the black and white label is dismantled, racism will collapse naturally.
Every Life Matters
ABWL believes in the sanctity of every human life and it must not be labeled black or white before it matters. Man deserves space anywhere to live and excel regardless of his colour, culture, creed, class, or gender. You do not beg to be recognized and arrogated your fundamental human rights anywhere all over the world. You do not say “I am black. I am a human being too. Give me my rights. Give me space to express myself as well”. This is apologetic. Who told you that you are black? ABWL says, “I am a human being. My colour, culture, creed, class or gender is inconsequential. I deserve the fundamental right due to every human being anywhere in the world”. Anti Black and White Label (ABWL) believes that begging for your fundamental rights is apologetic and that amounts to internalized racism.
There is no Black or White Race
The truth is that there is neither black nor white race. There is only one human race under God. Even the Christian Bible records that at creation, God says, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26). It follows, therefore, that in God there is neither black nor white. So where does the issue of black and white race come from? The black and white label is obviously a deliberate human coinage to demean and demote a particular skin colour and assert the supremacy of the other. And this is evil because it is not of God.
Victims of racism are not only Africans, but also Caucasians, and the world at large, but historically and practically Africans are the most vulnerable. Promoters and beneficiaries of racism and allied crimes such as ethnicity, religious intolerance, etc. are the real enemies of mankind. And they can be found in every corner of the world
Africans are not Blacks or Inferiors.
Before the Europeans came in contact with Africans, black was already associated with evil and negativity. For instance, there is black sheep, black market, black book, black list, Black Maria, black spot, black magic, etc. If Africans were not blacks originally, then who labeled them black and what was the motive?
The myth that the colour of the devil is black also confirms that there is racism from the pulpit and pews. According to the Bible, Lucifer was the most handsome being in heaven. He was thrown down from heaven when he rebelled against God. The question is, “How did Lucifer turn black? Who painted Lucifer, the devil, black? Why was he painted black? Labeling Africans blacks is a deliberate project that is intended to demean them and rate them perpetually as inferiors, fit only to live and not to excel.
The fact remains that Africans cannot be labeled blacks because there is no such thing as black or white race. Africans do not connote darkness; Caucasians are not exclusive symbols of light either.
White Supremacy is unfounded.
White is promoted to represent the virtues of purity, beauty, holiness, dignity, and excellence. White has always been associated with positivity. Caucasians are not really white; they are rather fair or pink. So who labeled Caucasians white people and what was the motive? The fact remains that white race does not exist. Caucasians assumed the white race in order to indicate that other people of the world are sub-humans or inferiors. White supremacy is the highest expression of racism and ABWL is determined to discredit and dismantle it.
